What we do at Qliro
At Qliro, we develop safe and simple payment experiences for merchants and their customers. Operating at the intersection of e-commerce, payments, and financial services, we help leading online merchants and millions of Nordic consumers enjoy smooth, secure digital payments and consumer finance products. Since our start in 2014, we’ve grown into one of the most loved payment providers in the Nordics, partnering with some of the region’s largest e-commerce companies to power their growth.
We’re now looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data & Data Science team and play a key role in our data journey. In this role, you’ll help ensure that data truly drives better decisions across Qliro, by building and maintaining business-critical data products on our modern data platform.
What you’ll do
Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines that extract and transform data into Snowflake
Own and continuously improve Qliro’s core dbt layer, which sits at the heart of our data products
Develop and support both internal and external data products that are critical to the business
Work with event-driven data engineering in a modern, cloud-based tech stack
Ensure high data quality, reliability, and performance across the data platform
Collaborate closely with analytics, data science, and business stakeholders to turn data into value
What you'll bring to the team
You are passionate about solving complex business problems and building high-quality data products at speed. You continuously look for ways to improve — whether it’s pipelines, models, or ways of working — and enjoy learning new tools and techniques together with your team.
You’re analytical and logical, and able to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. You have a strong track record of using data to create business value, ideally within financial services or related industries.
A part from this, we believe that you:
Have strong experience working with SQL
Have hands-on experience with Python
Have worked with dbt in production environments
Have experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses
Are comfortable working with Git and modern development workflows
If you have worked with integrating AI into processes, this is highly beneficial
Are fluent in English, both spoken and written
What’s in it for you
You’ll join a skilled and ambitious data team working with a modern data platform at the core of Qliro’s decision-making. Your work will directly impact how the business operates, scales, and creates value — and you’ll have plenty of room to grow, learn, and shape our data journey going forward.
Does this sound like your next role?
